Oasis: Special foam used in flower arrangements. Oasis fits in a bouquet holder and retains water like a sponge.
Officiant: The official that carries out the wedding ceremony.
Off-Make (diamond): A poorly proportioned diamond.
Offset Printing (invitations): The "flat" printing used for invitations. It's a nice choice if you want to save money, use highly textured paper, or several different colors of ink (with engraving and embossing, you're usually limited to just one).
Off-shoulder neckline: A bodice style that stops just below the shoulder. Different neckline variations include: straight, straight with notch in center, curved, sweetheart, and v-neck.
One-shoulder (aka Asymmetrical): Having only one sleeve, or revealing one shoulder.
Opaque Hosiery: Stockings or pantyhose made of yarn which give them heavier, less see-thru appearance.
Opera Glove: Featuring 16 buttons, this glove is worn only at formal weddings, and usually with strapless or sleeveless or spaghetti-strap-style gowns. It goes all the way up to the upper part of your bicep.
Order of Service: A book generally produced for a specific occasion such as a wedding, containing details of the proceedings or outline of the service.
Organza: Crisp and sheer like chiffon, but with a stiff texture.
Organza ribbon: A sheer fabric used to make ribbon and netting for wedding decorating and accessories.
Outtakes: Just like in a movie DVD, these are the scenes that were not included in the final production. You may request that your outtakes be edited onto a different disk, or added as a blooper reel to your video. |
